Advised the third player on the Romanian TV retransmission services market, held by a private equity fund which is part of an international investments group with assets exceeding EUR 500 billion, on competition related matters arising from the process of acquisition of one of the most significant operators of alternative voice services for corporate customers.
Advised and represented the world’s largest wood based panel producer during the investigation commenced by the Competition Council in relation to the notification of the economic concentration on the wood processing market. The procedure required laborious assessment of the potential consequences on the market following the partial acquisition by the client of the business of an Austrian based derived timber products manufacturer.
Advised the Romanian subsidiary a major player on the automotive sales market, importer of the brands of an Asian based producer, in localizing the distribution contracts with the local dealers of the client’s vehicles. Work rendered involved a considerable effort for harmonizing the requirements of the Romanian competition legislation in regard of vertical agreements in the vehicle sector with the legal requirements at the Community level.
Represented two major players in the steel industry as Romanian competition counsel in preparing the notification of the economic concentration on the steel market (created following the establishment of a joint venture in South Africa) and in the proceedings with the Competition Council, related to the economic concentration thus created on the steel market.
Represented the largest pharmacies chain in Romania in the process of acquisition of the entire pharmacies chain in Romania (33 drugstores) of a major pharmaceuticals group, including advice on the notification of the economic concentration on the pharmaceuticals market aimed at securing the clearance of the acquisition by the Competition Council.
