Advised a global provider of information technology services and business solutions in setting up a subsidiary in Romania and provided legal assistance on all matters related to the employment of the company’s employees, including labor agreements, applicable collective bargaining agreements, atypical working time and the corresponding salary rights, intellectual property rights under the employment agreements, mobility and confidentiality clauses, as well as other aspects pertaining to the applicable provisions of the Labor Code and relation with the labor authorities
Advised the local subsidiary of one of the world’s fastest growing retail groups, with a franchise portfolio of over 45 brands, in an employment dispute with a former employee, including representation in courts and assistance in the conclusion of a transaction that terminated the litigation, as well as in the process of conducting a preliminary disciplinary investigation related to the alleged misconduct of one of the company’s employees.
Advising the Romanian state-owned mail services company, with approximately 30,000 employees, in respect to all employment related issues, including litigation, negotiation and drawing up collective bargaining agreement.
Counseled the largest tax and legal services provider on the Iberian Peninsula in all employment-related matters arising from the setting-up of a business presence in Romania, including drawing up the individual employment agreement for the subsidiary’s general manager, drawing up the internal regulations, conclusion of employment agreements, specific advice as to the rights and obligations of the employers in the recruiting process, various types of working schedules, paid leaves, overtime work and payments, procedure for the registration of the individual labor agreement with the local labor department.
Advised the American market leader in international travel in setting up a subsidiary in Romania, including advice on issues related to the conclusion and termination of employment agreements, special clauses to be included in such agreements, various types of working schedules, paid leaves, overtime, the tourist guides’ status from the labor standpoint, the mandatory minimum salary, collective labor matters, disciplinary measures against employees and aspects related to the social insurance system.
