Competition

Represented the third brewery on the Romanian market before the Competition Council in respect of the notification of the economic concentration on the beer market, pursuant to the sale of four breweries to a major Austrian market player, including investigation proceedings before the Competition Council and legal support in courts. This was quoted as the largest transaction of year 2000, amounting to EUR 164 million, with the involved parties holding a cumulated a market share of 36%.
Represented the world leader in water services before the Competition Council in respect of the notification of the economic concentration on the public services market, pursuant to the establishment of the Bucharest public water and sewerage service company between the client and the Bucharest local council, the beneficiary of the concession of the public infrastructure for water distribution and the collection of used water in Bucharest.
Represented the second largest GSM operator in Romania, holding a market share of approximately 40%, before the Competition Council in respect of the notification of the economic concentration on the telecommunications market, in the process of granting exemptions on several categories of franchise agreements.
Represented one of the largest distributors of beverage alcohol products, holding a market share of approximately 24%, before the Competition Council in respect of the notification of the economic concentration on the beer market, in the process of granting exemptions on several categories of exclusive distribution contracts.
Represented a major brewery in Romania before the Competition Council in respect of the notification of the economic concentration on the beer market, pursuant to the consolidation of the Romanian group of companies, holding a market share of 16%.
