Advised one of Italy’s top energy companies, with operations in the procurement, production and sale of electric power and natural gas in a tender to partner with a Romanian state owned company acting in the field of electricity and heat generation by the firing of the fossil fuels, in modernizing its thermal power plants in Galati (535 megawatt), Borzesti (210 megawatt) and Doicesti (200 megawatt).
Acted for the project company set up by an important Romanian player active on the energy and infrastructure market and the leading investment company for investing in unquoted companies in growth sectors in the Balkans for the construction and operation of a cogeneration group intended to increase by 5 MW the power capacity of the largest producer of electrical and thermal energy in Romania, in compliance with low emission standards, a project carried out on greenfield basis, under no state guarantee or mandatory PPA, with a relevant investment amounting to EUR 5 million.
Acted as counselors for a Romanian state owned company acting in the field of electricity and heat generation by the firing of the fossil fuels in connection with a greenfield project for setting up a new unit for the production of both electric and thermal energy as IPP (Independent Power Producer), including assistance towards the joint venture with the selected investors for the implementation of the power plant project.
Advised an important Romanian player active on the energy and infrastructure market on the modernization and rehabilitation of the Buzau thermal plant, a project developed in partnership with the local municipality and authorities, providing customized solutions concerning the public authorities’ position and the investor’s interests, PPP terms and conditions, and any related implications.
Advised the project company established by an important Romanian player active on the energy and infrastructure market and Zalau Local Council on a project aiming at the retrofit and switch from fossil coal to biomass firing of Zalau thermal plant, precisely two of the four blocks of the power station were reshaped to biomass firing with an increase of 50 megawatt in the power capacity.
