Advised one of the Romanian subsidiaries of a major international group active in the financial services, infrastructure, and media markets, in the termination of employment following the reorganization of the activity, and another subsidiary of the said group in a lawsuit on the termination of employment; both assignments were successfully finalized by amicable settlement.
Represented a bearings producer during the general strike organized by the employees, by negotiating with the trade union leaders and proposing scenarios for amicable settlement, as well as before the court in the lawsuit with the employees seeking to obtain increased salaries and meal tickets; other assignments included the negotiation of the collective bargaining agreement and drafting memoranda on the situations when collective lay-offs can be performed.
Advised the representative office of an US based company, providing consulting services to improve governance, reform public sector programs, reduce poverty and strengthen public infrastructure and environmental services in developing countries, on issues related to the conclusion of employment agreements with the Romanian employees, such as the rights and obligations of the employers in the recruiting process, various types of working schedules, paid leaves, overtime, management agreements, as well as with respect to independent consultant agreements.
Advised various national and multinational companies on employment-related issues during the due diligence investigations carried out with respect to target companies, including analysis of individual and bargaining labor contracts, relevant employment legislation, especially those regarding rights of the employees, redundancies and dismissals.
