Assisted the leader on the Romanian market of pharmaceuticals distributors in competition related court cases and successfully obtained first a stay order and then the full annulment of the fine in the amount of approximately EUR 13.5 million (the largest single fine ever imposed by the Romanian competition regulator) enforced against the client for creating an alleged price-fixing cartel on the insulin market.
Assisted the administrator of a Pillar II private pension fund in all stages of the extensive investigation conducted by the Competition Council against the client for alleged price fixing and customer allocation practices.
Assisted a major player in the marketing data and research sector, active worldwide, in the assessment of the requirement of the antitrust approval, in the context of acquiring a European player in the same sector.
Assisted a major company acting on the steel manufacturing market in relation to an alleged infringement of the competition rules concerning State aid matters and obtained the annulment of the Competition Council’s decision imposing the recovery of approximately EUR 1 million.
Advised the majority shareholder of a major natural gas supplier and distributor in the sale of the said company, including data room organization and involvement in the preparing of additional information as requested by the Competition Council.
